Glass+Accessories Smoke Barrier System (SBS)

PYROSWISS SBS

Static Smoke Barrier System (SBS) with clear tempered glass

In open space architecture, PYROSWISS SBS channels the movement of hot smoke by forming a fixed, transparent barrier to facilitate the safe evacuation of building occupants.

It consists of PYROSWISS, a highly toughened fire-resistant safety glass, held in place with steel or stainless steel fittings. This system is patented and approved as a static smoke barrier (SSB) and certified to EN 12101-1. It can be adapted to work around building constraints such as beams or pipes.

Applications

Smoke Barrier System (SBS)

Whether installed on the underside of ceilings, atrium openings, stairwells, escalators, or lifts, this system protects against fire effluent by channelling the passage of hot smoke and redirecting it toward adjacent parts of the building for evacuation, allowing to create safe escape routes for occupants.
