PYROSWISS SBS
In open space architecture, PYROSWISS SBS functions as a transparent glass smoke barrier that channels the movement of hot smoke, enabling safer evacuation routes during a fire. This fixed smoke barrier system delays the spread of smoke, guiding it toward exhaust points and ensuring clear and safe escape pathways.
The system incorporates PYROSWISS – a fire rated tempered glass that is highly toughened and impact-resistant – held in place with robust steel or stainless-steel fittings. Patented and certified to EN 12101-1 as a static smoke barrier (SSB), it can be adapted to work around architectural challenges such as beams, ducts, or service pipes.
