Vetrotech Saint-Gobain is particularly committed to environmental and climate protection as well as the sustainable use of resources. Since the beginning of 2019, Vetrotech Saint-Gobain has been using electricity from 100% renewable energy at its Swiss production site in Romont.

On the 20th of March, Vetrotech Saint-Gobain participated in the 23rd Glas-Fachtag in Linz (Austria). In addition to our booth, Stefan Doppler, Sales Area Manager Central & Eastern Europe, demonstrated the differences between two of our glass solutions during his presentation as an expert in fire-resistant glass.

The updated PYROSWISS Smoke Barrier System (SBS) offers more flexibility in size and is even easier to install in a shorter amount of time.

High-security glass put to the test

When Vetrotech Saint-Gobain moved production of its fire-rated and high-security glass in Germany from the historic Vetrotech Kinon production facility in Aachen to a spacious new plant in Würselen, it set in motion a process for modernizing operations in a way that would move the company closer to its sustainability goals.
