Vetrotech Saint-Gobain Marine is specialized in the development, manufacture, and distribution of fire-resistant, high security safety and marine glass since 1980. A team of experts provides dedicated assistance and consulting to naval architects, designers, ship owners and other stakeholders within the shipbuilding industry for the specification of marine glazing of all types of vessel.
As part of its ongoing efforts to become an important partner for sustainable construction projects, Vetrotech Saint-Gobain has extended its Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) by four additional declarations. The EPD for Contraflam 30 fire-resistant glass now includes the oversize MEGA. And three new EPDs have been published to make transparent the environmental impact of Contraflam 60, 90 and 120.
At the end of October 2017, the bi-annual exhibition Kormarine took place in Busan, Korea. During this – mainly domestic oriented, but 4th largest exhibition in shipbuilding worldwide - more than 44.000 visitors turned up to visit over 2.000 booths. The themes of this event were very diverse but dedicated to the maritime industry: from shipbuilding- & production plants to energy & environmental specializations.
