KERALITE V-NIX fire-rated glass ceramic products are available Filmed or Laminated for accidental human impact safety protection. Safety film applied to the surface provides a cost effective and light-weight fire-protective glazing solution. Keralite V-NIX Laminated adds durability, better sound reduction, and is an ideal solution for high traffic areas. Both Keralite V-NIX Filmed and Laminated safety glazing variants can be a solution for fire doors, transoms, door vision panels, and sidelites.

In the event of a fire, KERALITE V-NIX provides an effective barrier against the passage of fire, hot toxic gases, and smoke. By remaining transparent and fully intact, the glass helps allow building occupants to safely escape and rescue service providers to see danger ahead. This accessibility helps first responders more rapidly extinguish fires and evacuate occupants.

KERALITE V-NIX is tested and listed by UL Solutions and is rated up to 180 minutes for doors and up to 90 minutes for windows, sidelites, and transoms. It can be installed to the maximum glass size tested in fire door assemblies where 20- or 45-minute rating is required, transoms, sidelites, and windows where up to one hour fire protection rating is required. Pair it with fire-protective VDS Lite framing and doors to build a barrier against flame and hot gasses, allowing occupants the time to escape in the event of fire.
