A new milestone for CONTRAFLAM One
Vetrotech Saint-Gobain Würselen proudly announces the first successful production run of its latest innovation, CONTRAFLAM One, at our state-of-the-art production facility. This milestone highlights our commitment to advancing fire-resistant glass technology while delivering solutions tailored to evolving market needs.
The debut production yielded an order of CONTRAFLAM 90-1, from the CONTRAFLAM One product range, for a door system, which will soon be shipped to a customer in the German market. CONTRAFLAM One sets a new standard for fire-resistant glazing, offering significant weight savings and reduced embedded carbon compared to conventional multi-chamber products without compromising fire-resistance performance.
A revolution for fire-resistant solutions, and particularly for glazed fire doors
CONTRAFLAM 90-1 is engineered to provide 90 minutes of fire resistance, meeting stringent safety regulations while remaining lighter than other comparable solutions. Its innovative single-chamber design enhances ease of installation and operational efficiency, making it an ideal choice for architects, installers, and manufacturers of modern fire-rated door systems.
“CONTRAFLAM One embodies Vetrotech’s relentless drive for innovation. The lighter weight not only simplifies production and installation but also supports our customers’ goals for energy efficiency and sustainability,” said Christoph Mertens, Plant Manager Vetrotech Saint-Gobain Deutschland.
What’s Next?
As production scales up, CONTRAFLAM One will soon be available to clients in multiple systems and applications globally, offering a transformative fire-rated solution.
Stay tuned for further updates as Vetrotech Saint-Gobain continues to innovate and shape the future of fire-resistant glass.
