Sustainable Benefits
The product’s carbon footprint is minimized thanks to its lower embodied carbon content. Between 65% and 85% of total embodied carbon emissions occur during the product phase - encompassing raw material sourcing, delivery, transport, and manufacturing. By using less glass due to its single-chamber system, CONTRAFLAM One reduces embodied carbon by up to 45% compared to traditional multi-chamber and multi-layer products (in EI120 classifications), making it the best choice to contribute to your sustainability goals.
Clearer, less obstructed views
CONTRAFLAM One boasts visible light transmittance as high as 88% for all fire classes while being fully UV-stable. Allowing more daylight to enter and reach deeper into facilities as well as offering larger view uninterrupted by framing is consistent with biophilic design principles and can improve the mental and physical health and well-being of the buildings’ occupants.
Easy handling and installation
The single-chamber system and thinner glass assemblies make CONTRAFLAM One up to 53% lighter than comparable products, still made of robust tempered glass and offering a wide range of temperature resistance of -40°C/+60°C, it simplifies transport, handling, and installation. It meets also the highest standards for fire protection, offering durability in installation, UV resistance (tested at 5000h versus 2000h normative), impact and pendulum resistance.
