On 20 March 2019, Vetrotech Saint-Gobain inaugurated the start-up of a new “state-of-the art” combination IGU (Insulated Glass Unit) and TPA (Thermal Plastic Application) production line in its facility located in Namysłów, Poland. The site is entirely dedicated to the manufacture of Contraflam fire resistant glass, where this investment is expected to increase flexibility and raise output by up to 20%.

Vetrotech Saint-Gobain is particularly committed to environmental and climate protection as well as the sustainable use of resources. Since the beginning of 2019, Vetrotech Saint-Gobain has been using electricity from 100% renewable energy at its Swiss production site in Romont.

On the 20th of March, Vetrotech Saint-Gobain participated in the 23rd Glas-Fachtag in Linz (Austria). In addition to our booth, Stefan Doppler, Sales Area Manager Central & Eastern Europe, demonstrated the differences between two of our glass solutions during his presentation as an expert in fire-resistant glass.

Vetrotech announces the take-over of operations of the Contraflam production line located in Coventry, which was formerly operated by Saint-Gobain Glassolutions. With its integration within Vetrotech, the specialised “Business Unit” dedicated to fire resistant and high-security glass products in Saint-Gobain, the company unites its UK sales organisation and production under its direct management.

The updated PYROSWISS Smoke Barrier System (SBS) offers more flexibility in size and is even easier to install in a shorter amount of time.

On November 22, 2023, the new Vetrotech Shooting Lab on the company premises in Würselen, Germany, was ceremoniously put into operation by CEO Reto Cometta. Vetrotech can now test complete glass and frame system solutions to best advise and support customers at the earliest stages of product development.
