PYROSWISS

An original Fire rated glass solution 

The world’s first highly tempered clear fire-protective safety glass paved the way for a new era in fire rated glass protection when it launched in 1991; and we haven’t stopped since. PYROSWISS protects against flames and smoke to allow occupants a safe exit in case of fire, and meets UL 9, 10B, 10 C; CAN/ULC S104, S106; and NFPA 80, 252 and 257 fire-rating standards and ANSI Z97.1; CPSC16 CFR 1201-CAT I & II; and CAN/CGSB-12.1-M90 impact safety ratings. 

PYROSWISS 20 is a fire rated glass solution that can be used in corridor walls rated for 30 or 60 minute, other 30 minute partitions and as a smoke barrier.  

PYROSWISS 45, made using the original process, can be used in 45-minute rated openings including windows, doors, sidelites and transoms. 

There are no UV-sensitive interlayers, no films or embedded wires in PYROSWISS, allowing for tint-free views that blend seamlessly with traditional glazing to meet any design challenge. 

PYROSWISS also: 

• Passes the hose stream test (PYROSWISS 45) 

• 90% light transmission values with PYROSWISS 45’s Low Iron variant 

• Is suitable for hollow metal framing and doors (6mm and 19 mm widths)
