After 4 years of restoration and transformation, the Bourse de Commerce – Pinault Collection opened its doors to the public on May 22, 2021. Located in the heart of Paris, the building, revitalized by Japanese architect Tadao Ando, along with NeM / Niney & Marca Architects and Pierre-Antoine Gatier agencies, houses a new contemporary art museum presenting a collection of works assembled by François Pinault over more than forty years.

With its 7,700 m2 of spaces accessible to the public, including 10 exhibition spaces, an auditorium, and a restaurant, the place is intended to be multifunctional and adapted to all audiences.

In order to meet the requirements of this multifunctional building, Vetrotech Saint-Gobain, in partnership with the company T.S.M., supplied interior fire-rated partitions and glass doors as well as a smoke barrier system.

In addition to visibility and optimization of natural light, inherent characteristics of glass, the fire protection glasses supplied for the interior partitions have the advantage of being arranged "butt-joint", without intermediate frames, contributing to the aesthetics of the structure with a modern touch.

The butt-joint fire-rated glass partitions supplied for the auditorium have exceptional dimensions (2.3 m width per pane) and meet the needs of the space with high acoustic insulation (Ra of 46dB). All interior butt-joint glass partitions have extra clear properties, optimizing transparency.

Lunax fully glazed fire doors are also extra clear, blending in perfectly with the environment, maximizing visibility and natural light, whilst providing discreet and effective fire protection.

This achievement reflects Vetrotech Saint-Gobain's true expertise in providing the highest levels of fire protection glazing solutions, without compromising the design and comfort of building users.

PROJECT KEY ACHIEVEMENTS

The building required butt-joint glass partitions offering not only fire resistance with extra clear properties, but also large dimensions and high performance sound insulation, especially in the auditorium > 46dB.
