Vetrotech Saint-Gobain at Glas-Fachtag

Small scaled fire test demonstration
On the 20th of March, Vetrotech Saint-Gobain participated in the 23rd Glas-Fachtag in Linz (Austria). In addition to our booth, Stefan Doppler,  Sales Area Manager Central & Eastern Europe, demonstrated the differences between two of our glass solutions during his presentation as an expert in fire-resistant glass.

The event, hosted by Climaplus Securit-Partner (CSP) and Saint-Gobain Glass, attracted over 500 visitors interested in discovering the current market trends and new products developed by the building glass industry.

In addition to the different booths of the exhibitors, presentations of experts in their field were held. Stefan Doppler, Sales Area Manager Vetrotech Saint-Gobain Central & Eastern Europe, was invited to climb on stage to demonstrate the level of protection provided by a CONTRAFLAM glass combined with high-security properties. Thanks to the simulation of a burglary, he showed the difference between a CONTRAFLAM 30 P4A glass installed in an anti-panic door RC2 (EN1125) and a CONTRAFLAM 30 POLYGARD RC2, in front of 300 attendees.

Furthermore, our team of experts conducted a live fire-demo on the CONTRAFLAM 30 POLYGARD RC2 sample so the visitors could see the reaction of the glass. The audience was amazed to observe Stefan Doppler holding his hand on the EI-classified glass while a torch on fire was burning the other side of the glass, thus demonstrating the non-transfer of heat from one side to the other.
