Where can it be used?
SGG CONTRAFLAM MARINE can be used indoors or outdoors. For outdoor use, we recommend double glazing with SGG CONTRAFLAM as the inside panel. This glass is composed of two or more panes of toughened safety glass, combined with a highly transparent fire-resistant and heat-absorbing interlayer.

How well does it withstand fire?
In the event of a fire, SGG CONTRAFLAM MARINE forms a stability barrier against radiant heat, smoke, flames and toxic gases for a period of 120 minutes. This clear glass becomes opaque when exposed to fire due to the foaming interlayer. As the interlayer expands and swells, it creates an insulating barrier that significantly reduces the effects of radiant heat.
