SGG CONTRAFLAM LITE MARINE is available in various types and offers many possibilities:

• product type A0, (B0 - B15)

• clear glass

• UV resistant

• clear or matt glass

• injury prevention

• very large sizes also possible

• single or insulating glazing

• can also be combined with e.g. reflective coating, thermal insulation glazing and highly efficientenergy     conservation coatings.

15-60 minutes of fire-resistance in safety glass, for active and passive safety. ISO 614.

This glass is composed of two panes of toughened safety glass, separated by an interlayer that swells in case of fire. SGG CONTRAFLAM LITE MARINE is available in large sizes 2300 x 3800 mm.

Where can it be used?

SGG CONTRAFLAM LITE MARINE can be used indoors or outdoors. For outdoor use, we recommend double glazing with SGG CONTRAFLAM as the inside panel. This glass is composed of two or more panes of toughened safety glass, combined with a highly transparent fire-resistant and heat-absorbing interlayer.

How well does it withstand fire?

In the event of a fire, SGG CONTRAFLAM LITE MARINE forms a stability barrier against radiant heat, smoke, flames and toxic gases for a period of 60 minutes. This clear glass becomes opaque when exposed to fire due to the foaming interlayer. As the interlayer expands and swells, it creates an insulating barrier that significantly reduces the effects of radiant heat.
