Product Description

Combining the optical qualities of float glass, with high duration fire ratings in excess of 120 minutes integrity (E120), SGG PYROSWISS EXTRA is manufactured from a unique glass substrate - the first of its kind developed exclusively for fire resistance.

In its normal thickness of 6mm and 8mm SGG PYROSWISS EXTRA is light and slim. Enhanced mechanical stability and tempered glass breakage characteristics make it an ideal product for doors and screens.

Single glazing

Available in clear or decorative options, including sandblasted - all fully certified to BS 476: Part 22. SGG PYROSWISS EXTRA is available in a range of thicknesses including standard 6mm and 8mm.
5mm and 6mm thick SGG PYROSWISS EXTRA = 60 minutes integrity (E60)
8mm thick SGG PYROSWISS EXTRA = 90 to 120 minutes integrity (E90-E120)

Performance

In the event of fire SGG PYROSWISS EXTRA provides an effective barrier against the passage of smoke, flames and hot toxic gases. By remaining transparent and fully intact SGG PYROSWISS EXTRA allows persons making their escape and rescue services to be fully aware of any impending danger.

Rapid access can be achieved quickly and safely to facilitate hose access, smoke evacuation and rescue efforts. A sharp blow from an axe will safely evacuate the opening, leaving behind harmless fragments of glass.

Application

SGG PYROSWISS EXTRA can be easily employed for both internal and external applications as a single sheet of glass depending on the level of protection required. SGG PYROSWISS EXTRA is tested and certified for vertical, sloped and horizontal applications.
