Beginning the application of the CE mark on fire resistant glass products

Several fire resistant glass products from VETROTECH SAINT-GOBAIN can now be CE marked. Gradually, this will apply to our complete range of fire resistant glass. As of March 2007, the CE mark will become compulsory for the sales of almost all product groups within the EU.

The CE mark confirms that products comply with the essential requirements of the Construction Products Directive (CPD) of the European Commission and that the products can be applied for the intended purpose. More details on CE marking are available on the website of the European Association of Flat Glass Manufacturers (GEPVP - Groupement Européen des Producteurs de Verre Plat) under http://www.gepvp.org/.

As a leading production, processing and distributor of fire resistant glass in Europe, VETROTECH SAINT-GOBAIN will begin marking a selection of products as of March 2006.

For the time being, for information concerning the performance characteristics of the specific fire resistant glass make-up required, please contact your Vetrotech Saint-Gobain sales office. The product characteristics are stored in the product database VSGI-H-PRD-DB-CPIP.
